Our Hospital
The hospital was established in 1971 in its current location on the corner of Ryde Rd and West St, Pymble. Over 30 years it has grown from a small veterinary practice in a cottage to a large state of the art hospital.
In 2001 a major extension and refurbishment of the hospital was carried out to ensure the very best facilities are available for the treatment of your pet. This comprehensive reconstruction project is proof of our commitment to the very highest standard of pet healthcare.
There is plenty of parking right outside our front door with easy level access to our waiting room and reception. Our waiting room allows separation of larger or more boisterous patients from smaller, quieter ones. Our trained staff are happy to advise you on our comprehensive range of specialised pet foods, animal healthcare products and pet accessories.
Our clinic may look small from the waiting room, but behind the scenes is a vast array of veterinary facilities, spanning 320 square metres. So what you see out the front is only about 1/8 of the total space.
There is a spacious treatment area where we perform procedures such as dentistry and minor surgery. For major surgery our two operating theatres are of a standard found in human hospitals. The radiography and ultrasound suite provides state of the art x-ray, Doppler ultrasound and endoscope facilities. We also have dedicated intensive care, isolation and anaesthetic recovery units. There is a dedicated laboratory area with diagnostic equipment to ensure many problems are quickly and easily identified.
To minimise stress and maximise comfort, hospitalised cats and dogs are kept in separate wards with reverse cycle air-conditioning and individual heating if required.
