The Environment

Wildlife services – We provide a free service to wildlife organisations including Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services and W.I.R.E.S. Our vets see over 1000 wildlife cases each year. These animals include sick and injured possums, bandicoots, birds and reptiles. Our aim is to provide a level of healthcare that allows the ethical release of wildlife back into the environment. If you find sick or injured wildlife please call one of the above organisations before bringing it into Gordon Vet Hospital.

Sustainable Practices – We strive to provide exceptional veterinary care that also has a low environmental impact. We are proud of our efforts to recycle as much as our waste as possible and we are up to local regulations regarding waste management. We have recently started to recycle our soft plastics through newer services available to us.

We try and embrace new green initiatives such as Replas who provided our bench made entirely from recycled soft-plastics out of the front of the clinic.

Even our surgeons try to reduce their footprints! We use a combination of reusable cotton surgical drapes to reduce our plastic consumption and plastic drapes where necessary to reduce our water consumption from washing.
