Right at the end of April the gorgeous Murphy came in to see us for his annual vaccination and check up. Little did we or his lovely family know that […]

Hey gang! How are you all? What’s been happening with you all? How happy are we that Winter is here? Winter isn’t too bad when you are a cat. It gives you a good excuse to be extra lazy and sleepy. And heaters get turned on, which is like heaven!!
Still no postcard from my former friend Dr John. Although he has found the time to post on Facebook. Clearly we need to have a chat about his priorities. While I’m sure his Facebook friends are enjoying his holiday happy snaps, I would enjoy a postcard so much more. Former friend Dr John, if you are reading this, SEND ME A POSTCARD!!!!!
My star this week is my good pal Johnny, a 6year old Australian Bulll Dog from West Pymble. Johnny was feeling a little flat so thought he would charge himself up, by eating a phone charger!! Johnny had vomited up some of the charger, but as some of the charger was still unaccounted for, Johnny’s Mum brought him for a check over with Dr Scott Lackenby.
Dr Scott had a good feel of Johnny’s tummy and he wasn’t sore at all. He was bright, happy and his vitals were all within normal range. Dr Scott decided an Xray was a good idea so we could see how much, if any, of the charger was still in Johnny’s stomach. The Xray showed that there were still two metallic bits making their way through.
But given their position in Johnny’s stomach and the fact the he wasn’t an unwell dog, he avoided surgery to remove them and his Mum and Dad got the lovely job of checking his poo to make sure the charger was passing through. If Johnny becomes unwell or the charger doesn’t appear, he will need to surgery to remove it. But so far so good!
Well, better go. Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll catch you all next week. Meows for now, love Joey xoxo
