Today we say goodbye to one of the GVH Famliy
By John Morgan | Dated January 3, 2018
It was a sad day today for the staff at Gordon Vet as we farewelled one of our wonderful vets, Dr Sam Lackenby. Sam has been at Gordon Vet for the past 5 years and well and truly proved herself a valuable member of the team. She has been a friend to all of us here and will be missed. Today we laughed, cried and ate plenty of cake together, and Sam has assured us that she will be back to visit! Special thank you to Karen VS for the wonderful cake!
Below is a letter from Sam to all of her GVH family.
To all of our Clients, Staff and friends,
The time has come for me to move on and I wanted to thank you for letting me be part of the Gordon Veterinary Hospital Team.
It has been nearly 5 years since I started at Gordon Vet and I have enjoyed working with this amazing team of people and the lovely clients and animals that walk through our doors.
After working as a vet for 22 years, I have been fortunate to have been asked to buy into a practice near Parramatta which will start from the end of January, 2018. It is a practice that needs some changes and I am looking forward to the challenge and will use the skills that I have learnt from GVH.
My favourite memories of GVH are some of the wonderful animals that I have treated and had the pleasure of getting to know and the owners that support them. Some of the ones that come to mind are Honey, Cute-Cute, Nana, Nipper, Murphy-Brown and many more.
There have been lots of laughs with birthday cakes, St Ives Dog Day out, Xmas parties, Santa photos and culminating with the Hornsby Business Awards in October.
I wish you and your furry friends ALL the best for 2018 and may it be a year that brings you joy and prosperity.
