Hi everyone! How are you all? How quickly has this month gone? With the end of the month fast approaching, that also means we are coming to the end of Dental Month. If you haven’t booked your pet in for their free dental check, don’t panic, there’s still time! Just give the lovely Reception Nurses a call to arrange an appointment.
This Sunday, we will once again be at our good friends, Gordon Community Pre School’s Annual Fun Day. As usual, I’m not invited but if you are looking for some family friendly fun in Sunday, be sure to pop in to say hello. There’ll be market stall, food stalls, rides and kids activities, a petting zoo and of course us!! It’s on at the Gordon Community Pre School, 2A Park st Gordon from 10am-2pm.
In keeping with the Dental theme, my star this week is the lovely Latte, a 10year old Burmese. Latte came in for a vaccination and during the examination, Dr John Morgan discovered that Latte needed a dental. Given her age, Dr John also recommended a blood test before her anesthetic to make sure Latte was all healthy. Her blood tests were all fine, but we still put her on IV fluids as Latte not only needed a scale and polish, but also needed to have two teeth removed, and the IV fluids would make for a speedier recovery. The dental procedure was nice and routine, and there was no problems with the extractions, and Latte was sent home and told to eat soft food for the next week or so while her mouth healed.
Well, better go. I need to make the most of the non-rainy weather. You all know how much I hate not being able to go outside when the weather is yukky! Meows for now, love Joey xox
