A wee little problem

You’ve managed to climb out of bed in that Monday morning haze, however walking across your room you find your foot in a puddle. Aaargh. That’s not the start to the week that you needed!
Urinary tract issues, whether it is a lack of toilet training, incontinence or a urinary tract infection, are only too common in our pets. Fortunately, in most cases there is a solution, and you don’t need to load your washing machine up with pet bedding every day.
To help resolve this issue as quickly as possible, there are a few things that you can do to help us out. Firstly, take note of where the puddles are appearing. Is it in your pet’s bedding, or where they sleep and rest, or is it throughout the house? Is it against a wall or other vertical object, or in the middle of the room? And are they big or little puddles?
After we get the clues we need from their history, we inevitably need to obtain a urine sample, which we run through our lab machine, and analyse under the microscope. Fresh is best, so if you are able to keep your pet confined for a couple of hours prior to their appointment, without the opportunity to toilet, then we stand the best chance of getting a sample.
Hopefully together we can sort out their wee little problem!
