Bugs was adopted by his owners as a kitten and settled right in. He was named after Bugs Bunny because he was born without a tail. Unfortunately, when he was only 6 months of age he wandered out of the house near Penrith in 2016 and his owners were never able to find him despite searching desperately in the area. After a few months the search for Bugs was abandoned and Bugs’ owners moved to Kazakhstan.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic they decided to move back to Sydney and settled on the North Shore. In a stroke of amazing luck, a year after they returned they got a call from a vet in Penrith who had found Bugs, scanned his microchip and the mobile number still matched! Easily identified due to his missing tail, Bugs was reunited with his owners and despite a few minor skin issues from being outdoors for so long and being quite trim from the experience he was in amazing health!
