Joey’s Tuesday Tip – In Case of an Emergency
By Scott Lackenby | Dated February 3, 2015
Hello everyone!! How are you all? I think Mother Nature is confused about what season it is! Mind you, when the weather is milder I get to spend more time outside. It’s not easy being a black Pymble Vet clinic cat when the weather is hot!!
This week’s topic is something I really should of spoken to you all about sooner. It’s a pretty important one. Do you know who to call if your 4legged friend gets sick or injured after we have closed? And lets face it, accidents and illness’ aren’t going to conveniently happen during business hours. Did you know that GVH offers a 24hour Vet service? That’s right, if your pet gets sick at 2am, we can help you out! Monday to Friday, once we have closed, if you call our main number, 9498 3000, you will be given the number for our after hours duty Vet, Dr David Owen. Dr David lives close by and will meet you at GVH. You won’t get to see me because I’m a busy clinic cat during the day and I need my sleep. But Dr David is an amazing Vet who will help out your sick or injured furry friend. On the weekend, you will be given the number for our friends at the Northside Emergency Veterinary Service. Formally at Forestville, NEVS are now located at 335 Mona Vale Rd Terrey Hills, at the intersection of Myoora Rd and Forest Way. If your pet needs to stay with them, they will transfer your pet back to GVH once we re-open. How good is that?!?
So, no matter what time you need us, just call! If it is after hours, be sure to have a pen and paper to take down the number we will give you. Well, better go. Check in with me on Thursday for my profile on Dr David Owen. I may only get to see him a few times a week, but we are great friends. Meows for now, love Joey xoxo
