Hey Gang! How are you all? Have you entered our amazing Instagram competition? You haven’t?? Then get cracking!! All you need to do is take a pic of your pet all rugged up for winter, upload it to Instagram, like and tag us, @gordonvet, and you will be in the running to win an amazing prize worth $300!! It couldn’t be any simpler! We have had some pretty awesome entries already. I still think it’s unfair that I can’t enter. You think there’d be some perks for being such an amazing clinic cat…
Only 5 more sleeps until Cupcake Day for the RSPCA! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!! There has been lots of talk about who is baking what and it all sound delicious! I have nominated myself to be the official taste tester. Hopefully Diet Enforcer Dr John isn’t working that day….. Be sure to stop in on Monday August 15 and but a cupcake from us.
Speaking of Dr John, he is still getting himself ready, along with Nurse William, for the City to Surf. It is staring to get a bit competitive here in the lead up. I’m backing Nurse William, he is running to raise money for charity, unlike Dr John who is just running for the glory. I’ll let you know how they both go.
My star this week is the sweet Miss Posey, a 3month old Labrador from Pymble, who came in when her Mum found she had something stuck to her bottom. Dr Scott Lackenby examined Posey and found that she had a needle stuck in her rectum and had a minor prolapse as a result. Dr Scott admitted Posey and once she was sedated, he was able to remove the needle which was attached to a bundle of thread. Miss Posey had obviously decided that a bundle of thread and a needle would make a good snack! As a precaution, Dr Scott performed an Xray to make sure that there was no internal damage or any other foreign objects. Luckily for Posey, all was clear on her Xray. Posey was given an antibiotic injection and sent home with a course of oral antibiotics. Hopefully Posey learnt about good snacks and bad snacks from this!
Well, better go. You know how busy I am napping, I mean working. Don’t forget about Cupcake Day on Monday! Meows for now, love Joey xoxo
