Farewell David Owen
By John Morgan | Dated November 4, 2017
As they say, all good things must come to an end, and after nearly 37 years as our Sunday and after-hours emergency vet, David Owen is retiring.
David was born in Wales and moved to Australia at a young age. He graduated as a vet from Sydney University in 1976. David then started work at Gordon Vet in 1981 and has been our Sunday and after-hours emergency vet ever since. Over the years, he has seen many interesting and unusual cases including snake envenomations and hundreds of paralysis tick cases!
Outside of work, David is an excellent golfer who has a very low handicap at Roseville Golf Club. He also enjoys reading and is a keen amateur astronomer.
All of us at Gordon Vet wish him a very happy retirement!
