Cytopoint itchy skin promotion details
From 1st September – 15th November 2025, Gordon Vet Hospital is offering a 20% discount on new Cytopoint treatments. This discount applies to both the consultation fee and the Cytopoint treatment. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your dog’s itchy skin under control.
It’s important when treating itchy skin that we take the time to identify potential causes. Treatments like Cytopoint injections do an excellent job of relieving the symptoms, but may not be enough on their own to solve the problem permanently. Thankfully Cytopoint doesn’t interfere with allergy testing, so we’re able to investigate the cause while treating the itch.
Who can access this promotion?
To be eligible for this offer your dog must either be a new patient to Gordon Vet, or be an existing Gordon Vet patient that has not been treated with Cytopoint previously. Put simply to get 20% off your pet must be new to us or new to Cytopoint.
How does the promotion work?
- You make a “Cytopoint Injection 20% Promotion” booking with Gordon Vet Hospital, either online or by calling (02) 9498 3000.

- You bring your dog in to the practice for a skin check consultation
- Our expert vets will conduct a thorough physical examination and ask you about your pet’s symptoms, behavior, diet, and environment. They will discuss potential causes of their itchy skin and suggest treatment options that suit you and your dog.
- If Cytopoint is the right choice for you and your dog the vet will deliver the medication in a simple, pain-free injection.
- You’ll receive a 20% discount on the cost of the Cytopoint injection and the consultation fee.
What is Cytopoint?
Cytopoint is a treatment for dogs that helps with itchiness. It’s provided as an injection delivered at the clinic.
Why we recommend Cytopoint for treating itchy dogs
- It’s much much easier than other itchy skin treatments. One injection lasts 4 weeks.
- It’s fast acting. You’ll typically see results within 8 hours of the injection, which will be a relief for you and your pet.
- It helps to reduce problem behaviours like licking and scratching that can lead to inflammation and infections.
- It provides the consistent relief from itchiness that is needed to give skin time to heal.
- It’s a very safe treatment option. It’s usually safe to use even if your dog is taking other medications or has other health conditions. Your vet will assess your pet’s suitability for Cytopoint treatments.
- It doesn’t interfere with allergy testing. This means we can treat the itch AND find out what might be causing it.
How much does Cytopoint cost?
The price of Cytopoint treatments compares favourably with other itchy skin treatments. It has the advantage of being provided as a long lasting injection, which is much more convenient than daily treatments, and ensures consistency of relief for your dog.
The cost for a Cytopoint treatment for your dog is based on your dog’s weight. Larger dogs require a larger dose, which costs a little bit more. If you would like a quote for your pet please fill in the form below and our team will send you the details.

How to know if your pet may need help with itchy skin?
If your dog seems to be constantly licking, rubbing, or scratching a particular spot (or all over) they may be trying to tell you that there’s a problem. A little bit of licking and scratching is normal, but if they can’t stop it may lead to bigger problems. Here are some signs that you should book a skin check appointment:
- Licking, rubbing or scratching that lasts for more than a few minutes at a time, or that cannot be interrupted.
- Your dog regularly has skin that is raw, broken, inflamed, puffy, red, weeping or bleeding. These are tell-tale signs of itchy skin.
- Your dog is experiencing difficulty sleeping or settling. They may be awake at unusual times to lick or scratch.
- Changes in behaviour and energy levels. If your dog seems more tired than usual, less energetic, or even less happy, this may be a sign of discomfort related to itchy skin.
